Teacher of the Year - Mrs. Diana Castro
Mrs. Castro brings a “special warmth” to her Lyncrest multilingual learner classroom. With the team for the last 14 years, Diana not only helps students gain confidence as they learn a new language but also supports families by providing translation and ensuring they have full access to districtwide resources and services. On top of that, staff love to see her artsy side peek through with creative touches that beautify the hallways. She is truly a gift!
Educational Specialist of the Year - Ms. Kerry Callahan
Ms. Callahan has been a vital part of the vibrant Lyncrest Elementary tapestry for the last three years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the school’s anti-bullying specialist. Kerry is described by her colleagues as inspiring and highly skilled, providing a safe space for students and staff. We thank her for her selfless dedication toward mental health and equity across the Lyncrest community.
