Jeffrey Klein

After graduating from Fair Lawn High School in 1988, I am delighted to return to the Fair Lawn Schools as a Trustee. Since exiting Fair Lawn Schools as a student, I have served my country in the United States Navy, received an undergraduate degree in Special Education with a minor in Media Arts and graduated from Seton Hall with a Master’s Degree in Education Administration. In
addition to my professional certifications, I am HIghly Qualified in English and Social Studies.

During high school I was active in the Performing Arts and Athletics Departments, playing lead roles as well as receiving several varsity letters. My years spent as a student in Fair Lawn guided me to an appreciation of an holistic schooling approach. This motivates me to bring our children a complete school experience full of positive memories and superior academic mastery.

Professionally, I teach at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne. In addition to my teaching duties I have volunteered hundreds of hours in the Performing Arts Department and coached the Varsity Girl’s Soccer Team.  I have also worked to improve curriculum by serving on writing teams and one of the School Improvement Committees. Currently, I work with the principal and my colleagues developing programs associated with the fundamental academics connected with high achievement on the SAT and ACT.

In addition to my full-time employment at Passaic County Technical Institute I work privately as an SAT tutor and help high school students develop their college essays.

My daughter, who attends Warren Point School, and wife/best friend continue to be a source of great love, pride and inspiration.
